The author of Pure Honey, the commentary to Person:Bram ze Ar+ya de ba’s Grand Poem (see chapter 1), is named in the colophon as Kunga Paljor. Tashi Chöpel’s Record of Teachings Received gives his full name as Person:Drung sa ru pa (Drung Sa ru pa Kun dga’ dpal ’byor) and states that Person:'jam mgon kong sprul received the cycle of empowerments and transmissions of all the source scriptures directly from Person:Ma gcig lab sgron in a visionary experience.[1] “Drung” may indicate the Trungpa lineage, and “Saru” appears to be a place name, since in Person:'jam mgon kong sprul’s catalog his immediate predecessor in the lineage of transmission of Person:Bram ze Ar+ya de ba’s text is called the Great Adept of Saru, Sönam Paljor.[2] The latter was active in the fifteenth century, which gives us an approximate date for Kunga Paljor. Information about Unicode Tibetan and the digitization of this text
As the only available unicode Tibetan text at the time, Nitartha International's version of the Gdams ngag mdzod Paro Edition of the gdams ngag mdzod is provided here. However, note that it has not been thoroughly edited and that there may also be mistakes introduced through the conversion process. Eventually we will provide a fully edited version of the entire Shechen Edition, entered and edited multiple times by Pulahari Monastery in Nepal, but as of fall 2017 that project has not been finished. Note that the folio numbers that appear throughout were added by Nitartha Input Center at the time of input.
